If so, the SC Department of Social Services has the right job opportunity for you!Job duties: The Eligibility Supervisor II is responsible for the administrative functioning of the Economic Services Program in the Richland County office and directly supervising at eligibility staff tasked with determining eligibility in the SNAP and TANF programs.Ensures Economic Services Program unit operates in accordance with all state and federal laws, regulations, policies and guidelines and performs monthly case reviews to ensure compliance with program policy.Supervises staff responsible for providing services to TANF and SNAP clients. May have some supervisory responsibility for Case Management staff.Timely performs the required number of case reviews monthly for each worker in a timely manner.Ensures that all client data is correctly entered into the required systems and that all management reports are carefully monitored and utilized to manage the employees.Represents the agency in meetings with service providers, local businesses, industry leaders and their appropriate community contacts as required. Participates in statewide trainings.Sets, effectively communicates and manages expectations for service delivery, customer service, and accountability.Directs supervision to include but not limited to conflict management, training new hires, effective communication, regular staff meetings, and employee recognition.Will be required to perform Red Cross shelter/emergency response duties as directed.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Agency Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of professional experience in social services programs, corrections, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience. A Master’s Degree and two (2) years of professional experience in social services programs, corrections, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.
