State of South Carolina is Hiring an Administrative Specialist II / Titles and Registration Specialist III - 164672 Near Blythewood, SC

Come join us and find the keys to your future!This position is in Titles and Registrations - Mail in Registration - Headquarters, Blythewood, S.CResponsibilities of the Titles and Registration Specialist III• Processes transactions using Phoenix to include, but not limited to, the issuance of registration cards, licenses plates, titles, decals, handicap placards and clearing property tax suspensions. Uses the DMV Phoenix system to enter, retrieve, update and provide data for customers, courts and law enforcement.• Responds daily to routine inquiries from customers through various methods of communications to include telephone, email, or mail.• Advises customers on appropriate actions for payment, services and required documentation for transaction processing. Resolves customers problems and inquiries through record research.• Maintains appropriate tracking system to include tracked and untracked mail, customer inquiries and rejections letters, reconcile transaction reports and maintains accurate cash drawer.• Reviews documents for accuracy and compliance. Prepares documents for scanning.• Performs other related duties as required.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Minimum QualificationsA high school diploma or equivalent.Additional Requirements• Ability to learn and explain policy and procedures to DMV customers. • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.• Proficient in basic computer skills.• Ability to exercise discretion in interpreting and applying office practices, policies and procedures.• Works in a general office environment.• May be required to work extended hours outside of the normal scheduled work week. • Must be able to lift 10-15 lbs. • The work requires sitting for prolonged periods of time and significant time spent at a computer terminal.
