We providestatewide leadershipof highly valued mental health & addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery at OhioMHAS!

We are looking for team members who will serve compassionately, contribute & collaborate, deliver quality and be accountable.

What We Do:

OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

What You'll Do:

  • Functions as lead worker for Psychology Assistants, Psychology Interns & students, & coordinates psychological services & programs: participates in a broad range of professional & clinical activities, providing services to adult & geriatric patients
  • Administers & interprets psychological tests
  • Pprovides individual & group therapy including specialized services to forensic patients when needed
  • Reevaluates forensic & non-forensic patients, as assigned
  • Makes recommendations for treatment & planning
  • Coordinates psychological services & programs
  • Participates in team meetings: prepares psychological notes & reports
  • Follows up work with adult & geriatric patients during their stay in hospital & gives them additional help to prepare them for adjustment to society before final disposition.
  • Serves as psychological consultant in hospital & in community: maintains records & prepares statistical reports.
  • Evaluates adult & geriatric patients regarding involuntary commitment to hospital & testifies at probate court hearings.
