Assignment Location:
This Inspector position is assigned to the Southwest Region of Ohio. The final candidate selected for this position is required to live in or relocate to Montgomery county within 180 days from effective date of hire.
What You'll Do:
Inspectors work from a residential home office and are provided a state vehicle for official Board of Pharmacy business. Inspectors play a critical role in fulfilling the mission of the Board of Pharmacy by being actively involved in the regulation and enforcement of laws governing the distribution of legal drugs in Ohio.
Training:
If you are selected for the Pharmacy Board Inspector position, you will be required to complete a 16-week training. This training will take place in Columbus, Ohio and also in the field. Traveling to and from training will be required.

Knowledge of pharmacy terminology; basic drug information; quality control procedures; pharmacy dispensing process; alternative record keeping systems, positive ID systems, dangerous drug security & storage requirements & state & federal laws & regulations relating to practice of pharmacy & distribution of dangerous drugs; agency policies & procedures (i.e. Ohio State Board of Pharmacy standard operating procedures)*; public relations. Skill in computer operation & use of common Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); operation of state vehicle. Ability to manage, review, & analyze large amounts of dispensing &/or prescribing data for patterns of misconduct; handle confidential information involving sensitive data, persons, places, & protected investigative materials or particulars in confidential manner; add, subtract, multiply, divide, & calculate fractions; define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; maintain accurate records; work within individual & group settings; prepare & collect evidence.
