What You'll Do:

Responsibilities of the Inventory Control Specialist 2 include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains extensive agency-wide inventory for Ohio Lottery Commission’s central office, warehouse, data center, regional offices and racinos.
  • Equips the agency, staff, and fleet vehicles with goods and services.
  • Controls the inventory system statewide for the agency.
  • Receives, inspects, distributes, and maintains inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Controls equipment and fixed assets inventory.
  • Assigns inventory, collects, and re-assigns inventory for re-use.
  • Coordinates with supervisor for salvage processing, recycling, and disposing of useless property and assets. Monitors the disposition of surplus property.
  • Enters, updates, verifies, and tracks all inventory information in the fixed asset program (i.e., Microsoft GP).
  • Resolves problems with inventory of supplies.
  • Maintains stock areas and shelving containing inventory.
  • Processes shipments to include responsibilities such as: Receiving, inspecting, and distributing orders; preparing and packaging items for safe shipping; executing expedited shipping requests; scheduling courier pickups; wrapping skids of product for transport.
  • Transports, constructs, and dismantles cubicle panels and other work areas. Relocates and rearranges offices.
  • Alerts supervisor of expiration of fire extinguishers.
  • Serves as back-up for vehicles functions such as transporting vehicles for e-checks, service appointments, gas, and wash and checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
  • Serves as back-up for mail services.
  • Performs light cleaning not provided by building maintenance (e.g., vacuums garage, dock, and office areas as needed; cleans walls and patches holes as needed; empties shredding machines; etc.).
  • Lifts 25-30 pounds. Pushes, pulls, or otherwise moves up to 70 pounds.
  • Performs other duties and works on special projects as directed.

Qualifications
9 months experience as Inventory Control Specialist, 64551.
  • Or 18 months training or 18 months experience in inventory control; 3 courses or 9 months experience in electronic data processing related to inventory control; 1 course or 3 months experience in public relations.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
