OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed by criminal courts.

We are accepting applications for a Dietitian, within the Dietary Department, headquartered at Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare, 2200 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43223.

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Attends interdisciplinary team meetings as requested and provides input regarding clients' nutritional needs.
  • Ensures Medicaid compliance in area of dietetics and nutrition.
  • Completes annual nutritional assessments for each client and reports such problems with dietary recommendations to the treatment team.
  • Prepares quarterly reports of dietary and nutritional progress (e.g., charts treatment plans and progress notes).
  • Trains clients and in-services staff regarding proper nutrition and compliance with the dietary prescriptions.
  • Confers with food service personnel, management and direct care staff regarding quality control, effectiveness, and efficiency of food service system.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT REQUIRED TO REMAIN IN THE CLASSIFICATION AFTER EMPLOYMENT:
Annual renewal of license to practice as dietitian.

QualificationsCurrent licensure as dietitian as issued by Ohio Board of Dietetics per Section 4759.06 of Revised Code. If employed at Ohio Veterans' Home, must also have 1 year supervisory experience in dietetic service of health care institution & participate annually in continuing dietetic education.
