State of North Carolina is Hiring a Human Services Provider Program Coordinator I-NCCIW Near Wake, NC

This position is located at the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women (NCCIW) in Raleigh, NC and works in the Behavioral Health Department of the Department of Adult Corrections. This position reports directly to the Psychological Services Coordinator who oversees the Therapeutic Diversion Unit (TDU).
 
The Human Services Provider Program Coordinator I (HSPPC1) provides inter-disciplinary person-centered support services to individuals on a specialized treatment unit with intellectual disabilities, dementia, mental health disorders, serious mental illness, and/or co-occurring disorders. This position will implement portions of individualized treatment plans as devised by clinical staff to include stress management, social skill development, adapting to the demands of prison environment, and planning for return to the community. The HSPPC1 will facilitate, monitor, and document individual progress in mental health and psychoeducational groups. The HSPPC1 may also assist in organizing and facilitating psychiatry clinics. The HSPPC1 will monitor, maintain and inventory supplies used for programming.
 
The HSPPC1 will ensure compliance with correctional-based health, safety, and habilitative services as required by State/federal laws, American Correctional Association expected practices, and facility policies and procedures. The HSPPC1 may work with the behavioral health team to establish, implement, and monitor program goals, quality controls, and policies/procedures for defined specialized treatment programs or multiservice facility hub. This position will work with numerous professional disciplines such as nursing, medical, psychiatry, behavioral health, programs, and custody to enact the behavioral health treatment plans and provide services consistent with the needs of the individual. The HSPPC1 will provide treatment and progress updates to the responsible behavioral health provider(s) and the multidisciplinary treatment team as needed.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.
 
NC Department of Adult Correction (DAC):
The Dept. of Adult Correction is responsible for the care, custody and supervision of all adults sentenced after conviction for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes State Prisons with custody, healthcare and facility operations staff as well as the division of Community Supervision. Other divisions include Administration, Compliance & Accreditation, Comprehensive Health Services, Internal Affairs & Intelligence Operations, Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission and Rehabilitation & Reentry.
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities listed below, along with the Minimum Education and Experience requirements, are REQUIRED to qualify for this position. We will not review resumes in lieu of Experience and Education listed on the application.
 
To qualify for this position, applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:
  • Documented knowledge of treatment programs and their implementation procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, observation and modification to person-centered plans.
Bachelor's degree in a human services or related field from an appropriately accredited institution, and one year of experience providing and/or developing person-centered care plans for individuals with intellectual disabilities/co-occurring disorders; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
