About the NC Dept. of Adult Correction (DAC):
The Dept. of Adult Correction is responsible for the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced after conviction for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes State Prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as the division of Community Supervision. Other divisions include Administration, Compliance & Accreditation, Comprehensive Health Services, Internal Affairs & Intelligence Operations, Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission, and Rehabilitation & Reentry.
Franklin Correctional Center is located in Bunn, NC, Franklin County and is a medium custody, male facility housing approximately 480 offenders. Special programs at this facility include Enterprise Sign Plant, High School Equivalency, Employment Readiness, Adult Outreach Correspondence, Thinking for a Change, Father Accountability, Commercial Driving License, Business, Hospitality, Commercial Cleaning, Industrial Maintenance, Logistics & Distribution, Computer Application.

To qualify for this position, applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:
Documented knowledge of internal and/or external services available to offenders
Documented 12 months (1 year) of correctional program experience.
Documented knowledge of case management practices, or supportive counseling techniques and/or interviewing techniques for intake assessments
