The Cooperative Grading Service, under an Agreement between the USDA and the North Carolina Department of Agriculture, administers a program to provide an impartial basis for the fruit, vegetable, and peanut industry to buy, sell, trade, and make settlements on various products throughout the state.This position will certify official grades of fresh fruits, vegetables, and nuts at shipping points and terminal markets in North Carolina. The incumbent will issue official certificates once quality and condition have been established in order to form a sound, uniform basis for buyers and sellers to make settlements on any product from anywhere in the United States or foreign country.This position serves the following counties: Duplin, Sampson, Bladen, Cumberland and Robeson.
