State of North Carolina is Hiring an Accounting Clerk II (Wake) Near Raleigh, NC

Â This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including health insurance, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, as well as retirement.

This position is assigned to the Administrative Service section of Prisons and is responsible for a variety of actions at the Division level. This position reports to the Division Accountant.
  • Position will be responsible for ordering supplies and equipment via SSP's and E-Procurement, and will also be responsible for entering contracts for services in E-Procurement.Â
  • Position will be responsible for paying invoices for supplies, equipment and services by use of receipt in E-procurement and CNTR 005 formsÂ
  • Position will communicate with and assist all levels of staff.
Note to Current State Employees: The Salary Grade for this position is NC03. State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as, or lower than, their current position. If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. DescriptionTo qualify for this position, applicants must document in the Description of Work section of their application that they possess ALL of the following were applicable:
  • Demonstrated experience performing purchasing or accounting duties.
  • Demonstrated experience processing invoices for payment.
  • Demonstrated experience reconciling transactions in a purchasing/accounting setting.

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one years of experience;

Â This is in addition to submitting fingerprints during the application process.
