The Position
Fleet Service Workers service vehicles and/or light, medium, and heavy construction and maintenance equipment, perform preventive maintenance, issue vehicles to employees, and perform basic diagnostic and repair work.

Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. OR Incumbents perform basic tasks or elements of the job not requiring the additional knowledge, skills and abilities to perform at the next level in the series.
This position is within the Department of Administration, the Fleet Services Division, at the Reno location. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in maintaining an accurate motor pool reservation database, performing repairs, preventative maintenance, mount and balance tires, minor electrical repairs, brake repairs, cooling system and transmission repairs, generate work orders, provide superior customer service, transport vehicles, clean vehicles and clean the facility. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of general work experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
