Job Description:
Looking to continue to grow your IT career? Do you enjoy challenges? Are you a team player? The Department of Administrative Services is searching for an IT Infrastructure Support Analyst. Join a skilled team responsible for computer configuration, installation, troubleshooting of dispersed desktops and laptops, including software application support, and LAN/WAN Network troubleshooting. This position is located in Scottsbluff and supports all State agencies within the designated region.
Position will include but not limited to PC and laptop configuration along with hardware and software troubleshooting in a Windows 10 and Microsoft computing environment. Install computers at client work areas, troubleshooting and servicing printers. Provide limited mobile device support. Troubleshoot and maintain on a limited basis Local Area Networks. Other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications : Associate degree in computer science and three years of related technical and business experience. Two years of related technical and business experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
OR
Post high school coursework in computer science and four years of related technical and business experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience troubleshooting and supporting PCs in a large Enterprise network. Experience in providing technical support, Active Directory troubleshooting/administration and troubleshooting for remote client/server computing environments. Experience performing basic problem solving of network, printer, and server issues.
Other: This position requires travel. As such, the incumbent must be able to present a valid driver's license or another form of reliable transportation. Regular and reliable attendance is required. The position requires lifting of 50 lbs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in the use of general or specialized hand tools used to perform PC maintenance have a strong understanding of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office. An understanding of basic wiring and troubleshooting Local Area Networks in the Ethernet environment required. Excellent leadership skills, reliability, self-starter, works well individually and as a team in a limited supervisory environment, customer service and communication skills.
