State of Missouri is Hiring a Warehouse Worker Near Jefferson, MO

Job Location: This position is located at the Scruggs Station Complex, 4720 Scruggs Station Road, Jefferson City, MO 65109.

The Office of Administration Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction (OA-FMDC) has a job opportunity for a Warehouse Worker at our Scruggs Station Complex. This position will maintain inventory control records (electronically and physically) for a bulk warehouse, interact with agency staff, receive/dispatch inventory items, and promote customer service. Also, this position will utilize MissouriBuys to enter purchase requests and receive items.

What you’ll do:

  • Assisting the Warehouse Manager in the overall daily operation of the warehouse
  • Receiving, arranging, and storing items from state agencies
  • Packing, preparing, and loading items for dispatch
  • Sorting and placing materials or items onto racks and shelving
  • Marking and labeling items to be stored
  • Maintaining and controlling inventory and all records of purchasing, receiving, and distribution of items
  • Following all OA-FMDC safety procedures while performing tasks
  • Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or OA-FMDC executive leadership

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of related experience (substitutions may apply)
  • Basic knowledge of purchasing and requisition procedures, transportation providers, and shipment methods
  • Basic knowledge of storekeeping methods and procedures used in the receipt, storage, and shipment of a variety of goods
  • Basic knowledge of inventory methods and records maintenance
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other motorized equipment as needed
  • OSHA 10 certification (can be provided after hire)
  • 1-3 years of related experience (substitutions may apply)
  • This position is physically demanding. Examples of job duties may include prolonged periods of walking/standing/sitting/bending, climbing ladders, ability to lift up to 50 lbs., working in inclement weather and working on uneven surfaces. This list is not all inclusive, but a general representation of duties that may be encountered in this position.
