Quality Improvement Manager - Southeast Missouri Residential Services (SEMORS)

Salary: $71,586.94

Job Location: This full-time position can be domiciled at either the Poplar Bluff or Sikeston, MO location and does require frequent travel between sites. Occasional travel to other Missouri locations will be required to attend meetings, trainings, or other events.

Hours: Regular work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but may require occasional extended hours to meet position deadlines. Some remote work and flexibility in schedule are also available.

This is a managerial position responsible for overseeing the quality improvement for care provided in all programs, including campus/intermediate care (ICF-ID), individualized supported living (ISL) homes, and temporary crisis placements. This position establishes facility quality procedures, standards, and specifications that includes accessing client needs, ensuring their needs are met and identifying systemic considerations to improve facility services. The person in this position will conduct quality assurance reviews and inquiries and report those findings to the Appointing Authority/designee. This position also supervises quality improvement professionals that includes hiring recommendations, training, planning and assigning work, performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. The incumbent also serves as the Chair of the Emergency Safety Committee and a member of the SEMORS executive management team.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:
  • Knowledge of accreditation and certification standards and their application to state operated facilities.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement a quality improvement program that includes a strong mechanism for evaluation and monitoring through data-driven strategies.
  • Success in working with an inter-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to directly supervise and coordinate the work of staff.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others successfully.
Typical qualifications

Master’s degree, 4 or more years of relevant experience, including 1 - 2 years of supervisory experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
