State of Missouri is Hiring a Program Manager - OOC Outreach Near Jefferson City, MO

Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.

Outreach activities include the Childhood Connections e-newsletter, various webinars with stakeholders, and advisory council meetings. Outreach is important; it helps families and professionals become more involved in Missouri’s system of childhood services, including early learning and afterschool programs. From learning about programs to providing feedback on a policy, there are a variety of ways that stakeholders can engage with others at the local, regional, and state level.

What you’ll do:

  • Provides leadership in the development, coordination, and implementation of a comprehensive outreach program for the Office of Childhood and its stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the direction and supervision of staff assigned to the outreach section.
  • Develops outreach policies and procedures in conjunction with Office of Childhood leadership.
  • Establishes project schedules and monitor progress of cross-office special projects.
  • Monitors the progress of special projects to ensure deliverables and timelines are met and within scope (e.g. media campaign).
  • Schedules and facilitates regular status meetings for cross-office projects.
  • Coordinates the use of data for cross-office projects, including program and/or performance measures.
  • Promotes effective partnerships with childhood stakeholders at the state, local, and regional level.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of Office of Childhood outreach and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensures outreach and stakeholder engagement procedures are implemented as expected.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in English, communication, public relations, education, or a closely related field.
  • Three or more years of work in the field of education, early childhood, communication, public relations, or other experience that contributes directly to the understanding of activities of this assignment.
