What you will do:

  • Handle legal matters including defending Commission orders before state appellate courts.
  • Other litigation and trial practice at all levels of state or federal courts.
  • Management of all stages of case litigation and negotiation before federal agencies, such as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
  • Legal analysis and advising regarding policy initiatives and energy development.
  • Position may require a moderate amount of in state and out-of-state travel.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • The candidate must have a Juris doctorate degree and admission to practice law in Missouri and be a member in good standing of the Missouri Bar and;
  • Must have at least 5 years experience in general litigation, administrative law, and/or government regulation.
  • Knowledge of civil practice and procedure is required.
  • Must be articulate and skilled in oral and written communications.
  • Experience in public utility regulation or field of law directly related to public utility regulation is preferred, but not required.
