The Division of Legal Services (DLS) has an opening for a Legal Counsel within the Litigation Section, located in Greene County.

What you’ll do:
- Support and provide legal advice to the Department of Social Services (DSS) and its Divisions, which include the Children’s Division, the Family Support Division, and the Division of Youth Services.
- Maintain a diverse case load, including Juvenile Court, Circuit Court, and Administrative Hearing cases.
- Perform case analysis, issue spotting, time/calendar management, and case load organization.
- Work with other DSS team members, such as investigators and social workers.
Minimum Qualifications
A Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution and member of The Missouri Bar. Excellent research and writing skills are required. Experience in litigation and a background in juvenile, family, and administrative law is preferred, but not required.
Annual Starting Salary Range: $55,100 - $63,500 (depending on work experience.)
