State of Missouri is Hiring an Investigator II (4250208) Near Saint Charles, MO

Job Location: This position is currently located in St. Charles, however the location will be moved to 7545 South Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63125.

Why you’ll love this position:

The Department is seeking an Investigator to join the Special Investigations Unit within the Section of Adult Protective Services. In this position, you will be conducting criminal and administrative investigations involving allegations of abuse, neglect, or financial exploitations to determine if a Missouri senior and/or disabled citizen is a victim of a crime. These investigations may be conducted independently or in conjunction with law enforcement and other community partners.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify and interview victims, witnesses and suspects.
  • Compile, analyze, evaluate, and preserve facts, statements, affidavits and other evidence.
  • Provide testimony in court and/or administrative proceedings.
  • Prepare detailed investigative reports and probable cause statements.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with law enforcement, prosecutors, Home and Community Based Service providers, other state agencies and community partners.
  • Travel within a multi-county coverage area in response to assigned investigations and to attend or provide presentations/trainings.
  • Hours of this position will be on Monday through Friday 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM however overtime hours may be necessary.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years minimum experience in conducting criminal, civil, and/or administrative investigations.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and/or a minimum of four years' experience at a law enforcement agency with a POST certification.
  • POST Certified Law Enforcement investigations experience.
