State of Missouri is Hiring a Graphics Manager Near Jefferson City, MO

Salary: $2,223.16 - $2,267.62 semi-monthly Salary may be commensurate of education and/or experience

Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, and will be located at 1659 E. Elm St. Jefferson City, MO.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintains the graphics email inbox, confirming details and assigning projects for two graphics sections.
  • Attends meetings to determine what the design needs are for the division and for the other programs.
  • Responsible for production schedules for the design team.
  • Coordinates specific graphics projects as needed.
  • Consults with division personnel on various phases of design projects to determine optimum approach in accomplishing the desired objective.
  • Art directs the division design teams to discuss design strategies, upcoming projects, consistency issues, etc., maintaining a consistent design style throughout the state parks system to promote brand recognition and cohesion.
  • Trains, supervises, and evaluates Graphics Supervisors.
  • Ensures file management is up-to-date.
  • Helps monitor budgets for graphics sections.
  • Has final review of designed materials.
  • Ensures that the distribution, delivery, receipt and installation of all printed materials is done efficiently and accurately.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Journalism, Communications, English, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, or a closely related field; and,

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four or more years of professional experience in public relations, advertising, marketing, film/video production, or journalism including one or more years of advanced professional experience coordinating, analyzing, and evaluating informational and public relations activities.
  • (24 earned graduate credit hours from an accredited college or university in the specified areas may substitute for a maximum of one year of the general experience.)
  • (Additional qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required education.)
