Job Location: Position is located at MissouriState Treasurer’s Office, Harry S Truman Building, 301 W High Street, Jefferson City, MO
Description:
Handle phone calls from individuals and state agencies regarding lost or stolen checks; prepare legal documents, for the process of replacement checks and forgery claims; verify information to process stop payments on checks in the banking system. Prepare transmittals for re-issuance of replacement checks in SAMII.
What you’ll do:
Provide assistance to state agencies and assist payees in replacing their state issued checks presumed to be lost or stolen/never received. Assist all agencies with certain bank situations, questions, affidavits, or photocopies of checks. Ability to operate mail processing machines. Sort and distribute mail within the Treasurer’s Office. Ability to operate a state vehicle for daily runs to the post office, bank and Capitol office.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Successful candidate should possess strong customer service skills and the ability to operate a personal computer with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, and the ability to stay organized and manage time effectively.
