Collects data from various sources on new or existing products or services; uses JD Edwards (JDE) planning software to determine feasibility for incorporating products into the MVE Program by analyzing impacts on production, costs, and the workforce

Develops bills of material forms, instructions, and samples for factory usage; assigns and categorizes JDE numbers for raw materials, finished goods, and purchased parts; enters and evaluates bills of materials information on new product releases

Prepares and maintains detailed reports concerning projected sales potentials, machinery and equipment costs, and inventory estimates for new products and services; develops and reviews mechanical and product designs for proposed or existing products; reviews recommendations submitted by the MVE Program Advisory Board, conducts preliminary investigations, develops preliminary specifications

Provides JDE technical assistance and training to factory personnel; participates in the establishment of new industry or service operations; maintains resource materials and publications

Receives general administrative direction; work is reviewed through conferences, reports, and evaluation of the quality of services performed; performs other related work as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Two or more years of experience as a Factory Manager II, Service Manager II, or Production Specialist I (Corrections) with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency OR

Six or more years of professional experience in business/marketing analysis, industrial management, public or business administration, or similar field.

(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university, that includes earned credit hours in marketing, economics, public or business administration, industrial management, or mechanical/industrial engineering, may substitute for up to four years of the required experience, at a rate of 30 credit hours for one year – a minimum of two years of marketing analysis experience is required)

All requested documents MUST be received by the closing date listed.

Some positions are eligible for a shift differential of $173.34 semi-monthly, which is provided to employees with shifts that begin on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am, and who work at a 24/7 worksite (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center), or whose work requires regular visits to these locations. If selected for interview, eligibility may be discussed at that time with the hiring manager.

The Department of Corrections is the only State agency that currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of service up to 20 years!
