State of Missouri is Hiring a Compliance Inspection Supervisor - OOC Child Care Compliance Near Springfield, MO

Job Location: This position will be located at 149 Park Central Square, Springfield, MO 65806.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for the supervision of regional Compliance Inspectors.
  • Train regional staff on appropriate inspection/investigation processes to ensure consistency.
  • Accompany regional staff on provider visits, as needed.
  • Ensure regional staff complete inspections and investigations in a timely manner.
  • Review and explain state laws and regulations to regional staff and stakeholders.
  • Ensure complaints are investigated for compliance with state laws and regulations.
  • Approve the issuance of child care licenses.
  • Provide technical assistance to child care providers, including informational meetings, as needed.
  • Prepare legal letters for disciplinary actions as required.
  • Prepare required reports as assigned.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in elementary or early education, sociology, psychology, child development, social work, or a closely related field, and
  • Two or more years of experience in child care licensing, elementary or early childhood education, social services for children, or experience in the provision of child care in a licensed family or group child care home, or a licensed or license exempt child care center.
