State of Missouri is Hiring a Client Support Technician #7500164 Near Joplin, MO

Job Location:

  • The office for this position is located at 601 Commercial, Joplin, MO 64801.
  • Candidates who complete a successful onboarding and training period may be eligible to work at an alternate location in compliance with OA-ITSD's Distributed Workforce Plan.

About this position:

This position is responsible for providing professional and technical support to end users. Essential duties include: hardware support, software/application support, hardware deployment, inventory, help desk tickets (including prioritizing requests and handling urgent requests in a timely manner), and working with other ITSD teams. Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, peers, vendors and management by phone, email and in person.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting Client Engagement Services (CES).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work on PC's, tablets, printers, iPhones, and iPads. Installing Software, Lifting equipment, some networking trouble shooting.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and determine the best possible solution to desktop, laptop, printer (and other device) hardware and software issues.
  • Work independently and as part of a team fielding tickets in the Cherwell ticket system to provide maximum support of our clients.
  • Image computer operating systems.
  • Install a wide variety of software packages from the SCCM system and the software repository.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Position requires familiarity with MS Windows 10
  • MS Office applications
  • Remote desktop tools
  • Browsers
  • Active Directory
  • AV software and driver installation
  • Should have basic troubleshooting ability for both hardware and software.
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions in a professional and user-friendly manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to identify and resolve information technology issues.
  • Ability to travel, operate a motor vehicle, and maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license.
