State of Missouri is Hiring a CANHU Social Services Worker Near Jefferson City, MO

This is an hourly position that will assist with coverage primarily on weekend days/evenings and weekday evenings. Openings are in Cole, Greene and Jackson Counties.

Key Responsibilities include:

Focuses on correctly classifying a caller’s concerns regarding abuse and/or neglect to Missouri’s children.

Provides individual and group clinical supervision to Children's Service Workers within an assigned unit or geographical area as well as assists Unit Manager and Assistant Unit Manager in training assigned staff on Division policies, procedures, standards, and goals; participates in management planning and program revision.

Receives referrals from juvenile courts, abuse/neglect hot line, Family Support Division staff, or other professional or private individuals in the community for protection and care of neglected, abused, or exploited children.

Reviews case records of assigned staff in order to ensure that work is performed and services are delivered in accordance with agency guidelines and policy. Provides suggestions to supervisors for developing procedures to implement children's service programs.

Conducts detailed case studies; prepares evaluations of social, economic, and environmental factors; and makes recommendations to team members regarding call classifications. Interacts with law enforcement and juvenile officers, other public officials, and community organizations regrading family and children issues.

Desired Skills:

Have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office Programs
Must be able to type accurately (prefer 30 words per minute)
Possess the ability to learn the unique computer software necessary for the job

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
