This position involves providing representation to indigent clients who have been convicted of felony offenses, and who are proceeding on direct appeal to the Missouri Court of Appeals, or in postconviction actions under rules 24.035 and 29.15 in the various circuit courts covered by this office’s area of responsibility, and on appeal from the denial of relief in these postconviction cases. The position involves intensive legal research, drafting of briefs and pleadings, client contact and communication, and litigation both in the circuit courts and in the courts of appeals.
Qualifications: Must be a member of the Missouri Bar. APD II, III, or IV may transfer at his/her current base salary.
Salary: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
