State of Missouri is Hiring an Adult Protective Services Specialist I/II (4661111) Near Springfield, MO

Job Location: This position will be located at 149 Park Central Square, Room 429, Springfield, MO 65806 / Greene County. This position will be responsible for covering assigned cases in Greene and Polk Counties.

  • Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the elderly (age 60 ) and disabled (ages 18 ).
  • Conduct home visits to observe surroundings, interview victims and caregivers.
  • Coordinate interventions and ongoing protective services needs.
  • Be available to be in an on call rotation with other members of your team.
  • Travel will be required with possible overtime and overnight stays.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High level communication and interviewing skills.
  • Able to work independently and show initiative within a team environment.
  • Able to be resilient, think critically, and be innovative.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher level degree from an accredited college or university. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • For the APS Specialist II position, one or more years of experience in Adult Protective Services or other related human services field.
