State of Maryland is Hiring a Nursing Informatics Specialist Near Baltimore, MD

  • Title: Nursing Informaticist Specialist
  • Address : 201 W Preston St, Baltimore, MD 21201
  • Duration: 12 month contract.
  • Pay Rate : $60-70/hr on w2
  • Shift : 8 hours - Days shifts
  • Work Type - HYBRID ( 2 days wfh , 3 days on site)

Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of experience in LTAC and case Management

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • While the primary focus is implementation, integration, support, and maintenance of Applications, at times
  • there will be cross-functional work with I.T. technical and development teams that could include backend
  • support of technical items such as printing environment, SQL database and application server infrastructure.
  • This position will lead and manage clinical system installations, upgrades, enhancements, and interfaces.
  • The position may also provide systems training or assist in compiling training documentation including short video clips or word and pdf documents.
  • The employee is expected to develop and maintain detailed work plans indicating target dates, resource requirements, responsibilities, and statuses.
  • In addition to primary application and system responsibilities, the position is a member of the applications
  • team and will provide backup coverage and support for other systems.
  • Work with secondary apps could include items such as assisting with ongoing support for installed systems,
  • providing vacation coverage, resolving system issues and problems, and troubleshooting interfaces.
  • Must always adhere to service level agreement standards.
  • Initiative in enhancing system performance and/or optimizing department processes.
  • Lead small projects as needed.

General Experience:

  • Background in Clinical Care and Documenting in Electronic Medical Record Systems.
  • Nurse with two (2) years’ experience providing care directly to patients and documenting care provided.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Eagerness to take on new assignments and learn new systems/concepts.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with highlight in customer service.
  • Problem solving/troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
  • Operations experience with various healthcare departments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Position may require travel based on assigned projects.
  • PMP, HL7, MCP, or other relevant to Healthcare I.T. are a bonus.
  • Preferred: Registered Nurse with two (2) years of clinical experience. LTAC Industry knowledge.

Required Certifications: BLS, RN license.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
