Job Description:

This position acts as the Construction Manager for MaineDOT’s Multimodal Program.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assigning of consultant and MaineDOT personnel to serve as residents and inspectors on projects developed within the Multimodal Program,
  • Supervising, mentoring, and coaching construction field personnel for the Multimodal Program.
  • Being the point person for the multimodal program regarding resolution of contractor issues and disputes,
  • Reviewing plans for in-house projects & Locally Administered Projects (LAP),
  • Providing guidance to LAP's on construction issues when asked, and,
  • Managing a small portfolio of capital improvement projects, as assigned.

Work is completed under limited supervision.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

Registered as a Professional Engineer and at least one (1) year of project management experience at the professional level -OR- 12 years of technical engineering experience with at least three years of project management experience.
