Salary: ($21.78 - $27.34 per hour)** 
**This includes a $0.60/hour Institutional Stipend, as well as an additional $3.00/hour Recruitment Stipend. In addition, candidates may qualify for $200/month nursing-student-loan reimbursement. 
  • additional shift differential $1.00/hr while working 2nd shift hours
  • additional weekend differential $.60/hr while working weekend hours

The Department also promotes public health, operates two state psychiatric hospitals, and provides oversight to health care providers.

Job duties: 

Riverview Psychiatric Center seeks Licensed Practical Nurse's (LPN) to provide paraprofessional support work in the care and treatment of patients and residents at a state institution or facility. Work includes providing direct patient care, administering medications, and providing medical treatment as prescribed by a medical health care professional. Assistance and guidance may be given to other employees administering medication and providing direct patient care. Work is performed under general supervision. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Graduation from a state approved school of practical nursing. Possession of a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse issued by the Maine State Board of Nursing. Must have the ability to work overtime.
