1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to a bachelor’s degree with courses in parks and recreation, natural resource administration or public administration.
2. Requires one year of related functional supervisory experience.
1. Two (2) years of working knowledge of the principles and practices of site administration, including pheasant propagation, animal handling, structural grounds maintenance, public relations, personnel administration, and outdoor recreation programs
2. Two (2) years of experience in the brooding, specking, and inoculation of poultry
3. Two (2) years of experience in applying appropriate levels of knowledge in problem solving situations encountered in the performance of duties and responsibilities.
4.Two (2) years of experience in evaluating program effectiveness and to make recommendations on policies and procedures.
5. Two (2) years working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and/or carpentry trades to make repairs on site.

9. Ability to administer First Aid/CPR and maintain certification.
Charged with preserving, protecting, and promoting Illinois’ natural resources, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) employees oversee water, wildlife, wetlands and oil wells, parks, historic sites – and everything in between. The Historic Sites Division of the Office of Land Management oversees 57 Historic Sites, Monuments, and Memorials. OLM facilitates activities from small group interpretive programming at Historical Sites, to hiking, hunting, fishing, boating, and camping.
