Example of Duties:

  • Assist in the financial design and implementation of a newly developing Division.
  • Provide direction on Division options with Luma cost accounting structure implementation.
  • Design and implement efficient and effective processes in the Division’s financial work.
  • Oversee Division financial audits.
  • Manages an accounting staff of eight employees.
  • Oversees an annual budget.
  • Implements appropriate internal controls over accounting practices.
  • Ensures compliance with:
    • Federal and State laws, Administrative rules, and fiscal policies
    • The Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) Uniform Guidance for Federal Grant administration
    • Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
    • Division policies and procedures
  • Provides timely and meaningful financial information to Division leadership, external stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Working directly with the Leadership team as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Good knowledge of Accounting principles and practices, Management practices

Experience:

  • Supervising others
  • Auditing and interpreting computerized financial reports and data
  • Auditing or designing and maintaining computerized financial reporting systems and subsystems Auditing or establishing internal financial reporting controls
  • Preparing financial management or audit reports Preparing and making oral presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with State of Idaho financial systems, processes, and workflows.
  • Experience designing and implementing efficient processes.
  • Possession of a CPA license, CGFM, or other related certifications.
