Job Summary
The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE)- Office of Whole Child Supports is recruiting for an experienced School Safety Specialist. Under limited supervision, this position will assist with the Georgia Department of Education efforts to provide technical assistance to schools and districts on topics related to safety and security. The School Safety Specialist will support local education authorities (LEA's) with developing and implementing safety and security policies, included but not limited to emergency preparedness best practices and risk management efforts. This remote position will reside in the Office of Whole Child Supports and report to the School Safety Program Manager. The job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

******This is a remote/telework position based in Downtown Atlanta. Some statewide travel may be required.
