Demonstrates the use of appropriate teaching techniques. Demonstrates the use of appropriate testing and grading procedures including proper maintenance of grade books and any other appropriate record keeping required. Understands and is experienced in practices and procedures in the Health Information field. Follows approved course syllabi. Completes all documentation related to assigned courses in a timely manner and maintains an accurate inventory of all assigned property. Day and night classes may be available based on scheduling needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
Baccalaureate Degree in Health Information Management or related field and a minimum of three years employment experience within the past seven years. Must be certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHI T}, Registered Health Information Administrator (RHI A), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) (or equivalent) or possess a Master's Degree in the course subject content area. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master's degree from a nationally or regionally accredit ed college or university with course work in field instruct ion with a minimum of 18 graduate hours is required.
NOTE: APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
The salary range is $1850 - $2250 per course.Adjunct faculty members do not receive benefits and positions are temporary, scheduled based on class needs of the college. Adjunct Faculty will generally sign assignment acknowledgements which cover a single term at a time, and employment is not guaranteed. Georgia Defined Contributions and taxes will be deducted.
