Certified Nurse Midwife

Seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife at our SOFHA OB/GYN Office

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obtain health history and perform in-office exams, as well as hospital consults.
• Order/interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests.
• Formulate and implement prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care plans.
• Manage normal labor and conducts delivery.
• Report deviations from normal labor to physician(s).
• Manage post-delivery stage.
• Triage patient calls and evaluate patient problems.
• Document all patient information and care provided, patient/family responses, and medication dispensed or prescribed.
• Obtain new patient records, previous test results, and other records required.
• Follows organizational policies and procedures.
• Contain strict confidentiality.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master of Science in Nursing

EXPERIENCE:

Three or more years of experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife (preferred).

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Certification as a Nurse Midwife with licensure to work in the State of Tennessee
• Valid DEA licensure
