Part-Time Career Service Contract Oversight Unit (COU) Monitor – DCF – Jacksonville
The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) seeks to hire a part-time contract monitor in Jacksonville.
The individual in this position works from the DCF office and does not telecommute. The Jacksonville office is located at 5920 Arlington Expressway.
The individual in this position is responsible for monitoring the administrative and programmatic terms and conditions of DCF contracts. The position is a Government Operations Consultant II and is career service. The position is part-time, 30 hours per week, meaning it is 0.75 FTE. The 30-hour per week schedule will be set in consultation with the supervisor but will be within typical weekday business hours.
Salary for this 30-hour, part-time position will be $33,000 to $36,000 annually. Prior or current salary will not be considered.

This position is part of the Contract Oversight function, which is responsible for monitoring the administrative and programmatic terms and conditions of the Department’s contracts. Contract monitoring is conducted in accordance with section 402.7305, Florida Statutes, and Children and Families Operating Procedure 75-8.
Position duties include but are not limited to:
Cooperation, communication, and teamwork are necessary skills for this position. Candidates must be highly proficient in written and verbal communication, use of automated systems, and research and analysis. The position incumbent must demonstrate self-direction and self-motivation, sound decision making, and the ability to create and maintain positive and respectful working relationships with Department colleagues and provider staff.
Overnight travel is required, potentially a few times a year. Travel is scheduled in advance. A valid driver’s license from your state of residency is required for this position, and your license must be maintained as a condition of employment. You must be willing to use a personal vehicle for work-related travel if requested. You must be able to lift 20 pounds.
