DESCRIPTION

This is an independent and complex professional position in the Hope Florida program. The Outreach Specialist provides training and presentations to internal and external stakeholders including Hope Navigator pre-service training. As well as conducts case reviews and mentor new staff and those struggling with meeting performance standards.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

  1. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, program office, peers, and community service partners and organizations in the region.
  2. Identifies and maintains working knowledge of available community resources, in conjunction with other DCF programs.
  3. Analysis and Monitoring - Recommends and initiates quality improvement strategies and quality control. Works with staff to identify error trends. Acts as a facilitator for quality improvement efforts. Analyzes data from all levels of monitoring including qualitative and quantitative data. Prepares reports and presentations. Monitors and evaluates operational outcomes. Assists with operational planning and service delivery.
  4. Collecting and analyzing data on outcomes to identify and refine referral choices. Participating in strategic planning and quality improvement processes.
  5. Actively participating in ongoing cross-program training and team meetings.
  6. Participates in national, state and local meetings, committees, community activities, outreach events and other team efforts as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems
  2. Ability to organize data into a logical format for presentation in reports, documents, presentations, and other written materials.
  3. Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
  4. Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
  5. Ability to work independently.
  6. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.
  7. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate
  8. Ability to communicate effectively.
  9. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or four years of professional experience in data analysis, quality improvement, policy development, community engagement or community outreach.
  2. One year experience as a Hope Navigator or in a position responsible for conducting quality reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

    1. Bachelor’s degree in human services field, data analytics or a related field.
    2. At least one year experience as a Hope Navigator
    3. At least one year experience conducting quality reviews
