MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in marketing, business, merchandising, economics, agriculture, international affairs, leisure services, or communications and three (3) years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, agriculture, international affairs, leisure services, business or industry development, the travel industry or in hotel or restaurant management; or 

A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in business administration and two (2) years of professional experience as described above. 

Professional or paraprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.  

Requires possession of a valid Driver’s License.

JOB DUTIES: 

Serves as assistant Media Brand Manager for Fresh From Florida. Assisting supervisor in planning and executing all schedules of brand presence on all social media platforms. Copywriter/editor for a range of marketing and communication materials. Proof reading experience and knowledge of standard style guidelines required. Develop core messaging based on research, data, ROI and feedback from consumers and industry. Collaborate with internal staff and Agency of Record in creating, editing and presenting core messaging for brand strategy to leadership. Assists Media Supervisor with content (video and photography) planning for culinary team. Manage media calendar with Agency including campaign planning and execution. Weekly consumer engagement reporting for leadership. Write scripts for video and radio advertising. 

Works with Media Supervisor to manage the Fresh From Florida Loyalty Club Program, including but not limited to creating calendar of events, drafting content, working with developers and media agency to make recommendations for upgrades and additions to platform. Manage the Fresh From Florida Club monthly newsletter, including recommending content to Media Supervisor and working with Chef to develop new content monthly. 

Assist Media Supervisor in managing the agency contract including execution of yearly media flowchart and provide reports to Supervisor and Bureau Chief on allocations and shifting budget categories. Meet with members of Retail, Campaign Development and Industry teams on Consumer campaigns that require Media content development. Make recommendations on developing new landing pages and maintaining current website content including recipe writing/editing, updating images, developing landing pages, etc. 

Perform other job-related duties and special assignments as required.

  • Ability to present information in a concise and organized manner.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Ability to review and evaluate data.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
