Description of Job

This position assists Facilities Services personnel with performance of their duties, with a
special emphasis on strenuous general labor tasks. This will include but not be limited to: custodial cleaning, office and construction moves, special events set-ups and take-downs, recycling, orders, deliveries and conferences.
Other duties performed by this position include:

  • Maintenance of recycling bins and material.
  • Small equipment repair.
  • Graduation and athletic event set-ups including: moving chairs, tables, risers, platforms, curtains, tents, canopies, and floor protectors.
  • Snow removal/ plowing.
  • Light and ballast repairs.
  • Light painting.
  • Clean campus facilities before, during, and after indoor/outdoor special and athletic events.
  • Pressure washing and window cleaning of buildings.
  • Performing general custodial duties.
  • Operate machinery.
  • Must be willing to perform work duties while exposed to extremes in weather elements (i.e. snow in the winter, heat in the summer).
** This position is required to work flexible schedules including split shifts, weekends and evenings to provide adequate coverage as needed.
This position must understand SDS Sheets, proper use of cleaning chemicals, water, natural
soaps, synthetic detergents/surfactants, solvents, acid, alkaline cleaners etc. The use of these chemicals requires proper safety precautions and knowledge of various chemical hazards.
In this position you will be required to exert or lift in excess of 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 lbs. for force constantly. It also requires constant or frequent climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, handling, pushing, pulling and reaching.

Possession of a current valid State of Colorado Driver's license is required for this position. The successful applicant must maintain the ability to independently travel in the performance of job-related duties. Please submit a copy of your Driver's License with your application.
