Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the incumbent will act as a network engineer within the Network Engineering Services Section, performing analysis on complex network problems and enhancements. The Network Engineering Services Section is responsible for providing the best innovative and reliable network services to support the business needs of the OLC and the State Legislature. The incumbent will perform as a project lead and/or team member on cross-divisional teams responsible for moderately complex projects. The incumbent will provide expert-level knowledge on the use of current networking technologies, hardware and software design, networking tools and protocols, and the use of maintenance principles for network systems and infrastructures. The incumbent will provide oversight responsibilities to monitor the functionality and performance of complex network systems ensuring that problems are resolved in a timely manner. The incumbent will work in a team environment and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
