Job Description

This position is currently located in Juneau. 
The position may be in Anchorage or Juneau, depending upon the location of the most qualified candidate.
What you will be doing:
As the SHARP Outreach Coordinator, you will develop and implement effective marketing and communications strategies to increase participation in the Strengthening Healthcare Access Recruitment Program. Your responsibilities will include training, marketing, guidance documents, grant compliance, evaluation, and coordinating with the statewide SHARP Advisory Council. By putting the needs of potential applicants at the forefront of your work, you will help to reduce healthcare professional shortages and increase access to care for all Alaskans.

The work location in Juneau is the Alaska Office Building, which is in the heart of downtown and within easy walking distance to amenities and the waterfront. There is ample covered parking, a high level of building security, and access to vending machines for drinks and snacks.
The work location in Anchorage, the Frontier building in mid-town, provides ample covered parking, building security, vending machines for snacks and drinks, and various nearby restaurants and stores.

Competency Description

Special Note:

“Competencies” means a combination of interrelated knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors that enable a person to act effectively in a job or situation. 

“Typically gained by” means the prevalent, usual method of gaining the competencies expected for entry into the job.
