The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Central Region is looking for an Accounting Technician 1 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
What you will be doing: This position is one of a group of two responsible for processing all Central Region Time & Equipment timesheets (T&E) in the IRIS system using the creation, completion, review, and approval of ICT documents. It will also provide support to the Budget Section`s Administrative Officer 1, and Budget Analyst 2 in the review of financial activities within the Construction and CIP components for Central Region, and other Central Region and Statewide components as needed.

Office hours are flexible. The option to telework is available for this position upon completion of probationary period, in accordance with current department policies. Minimum Qualifications

One year of clerical work experience maintaining records that included using computer systems and performing basic arithmetic calculations.
Substitutions:
Successful completion of a formal vocational education program in accounting or bookkeeping will substitute for the required experience.
Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month).
