Plant Supervisor
Position Summary
The Plant Supervisor is responsible for supervising a mid-size shop of 30 employees consisting of welders, machine operators, fabricators and general labor personnel. Our company, located in Farmington Hills MI, produces large production fabrications for automotive assembly lines throughout North America.
Supervisor Responsibilities
This position has formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees. Supervision of shop workflow, incoming materials, floor management and product quality.

Performance Requirements
Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach, instruct, motivate and develop teamwork among employees. Self-motivated and able to perform assigned duties without direct supervision. Ability to troubleshoot daily production issues effectively and efficiently plan, analyze and problem solve.
Typical Working Conditions
We operate out of a five separate building complex, so walking the site is an integral part of the position. The supervisor will need to be comfortable with all aspects of manufacturing; including material handling with Hi-Lo and cranes, hand welding, processing material by saw, shear, CNC burner, break press and other steel processing equipment. This work will not be typical of the job but is expected to be known and able to instruct others to do.
