Position Summary:

Ensure marketing objectives and plans support the bank’s overall business goals and objectives. Lead the bank in digital marketing advertising and promotion/image campaigns. Provide assistance and support for internal and external communication ensuring company messages are consistent and respond to employee requests. Support bank staff with technical assistance with bank software.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop short- and long-term goals, objectives, and priorities for the banks Marketing, Public Relations, and Advertising functions.
  • Manage digital marketing channels including website, social media, email, and electronic banking. Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies to keep us ahead.
  • Research, build, and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, LinkedIn and additional channels that may be deemed relevant. Work with social media committee to create shareable content appropriate for multiple networks to spread our brand.
  • Develop and launch creative and strategic marketing efforts by creating visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers while conveying the banks “brand image” in a meaningful and recognizable manner.
  • Utilize multiple programs to provide graphic design and copywrite services to applicable banks, Adobe Illustrator*,Adobe Photoshop*,Adobe InDesign*, Basic Video Editing Experience*,Meta (Facebook) Business Suite including Advertising*,LinkedIn Business Page Management including Advertising*,Basic HTML Knowledge*,Email marketing system (Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, etc.)*,Survey Money or similar*.
  • Research competitors and develop a marketing strategy for customer awareness of increasing deposit service fees.
  • Analyze and report to management on competitor and industry trends.
  • Assist in the launching of new products and services ensuring staff and customers are informed on the products.
  • Prepare and distribute applicable bank-wide communications ensuring timeliness and accuracy, including training material for product and/or software changes.
  • Write and distribute press releases maximizing opportunities for the Bank’s visibility.
  • Work with the Public Relations Officer to coordinate internal and external special events selected to support the bank’s business plan.
  • Together with the Public Relations Officer, act as the bank representative in community outreach efforts including sponsorships and corporate partnerships with not-for-profit, community and educational organizations.
  • Create and update procedure manuals.
  • Annually compile SWOT information and create a tactical plan.
  • Create and update documents for all departments.
  • Comply with the Bank’s Secrecy Act (BSA) rules and regulations.
  • Undertake special projects and/or assignments as needed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This position operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, filing cabinets and fax machines. Occasional lifting of 25-50 pounds may occur. The physical demand described here are representative of those that must be met by staff to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position Performance Standards:

Promote products and image according to bank Business Plan and marketing departmental plan.

Coordinate the bank’s social media efforts and oversee the social media committee.

Lead product and service research and implementation as determined by the product and services committee and/or management.

Actively champion, create and monitor communications, materials and resources ensuring they are up to date for internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or public relations required. 2-3 years banking experience preferred. Previous marketing experience required.
