Front End Developer

JOB SUMMARY

As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the user interface of our web applications or websites. You will collaborate closely with back-end developers, designers, and stakeholders to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities are inclusive, but not limited to the items listed below.

• This candidate will be responsible for dashboards, reports, and other applications as assigned by the architect.
• Typical frameworks used in these applications include React Native, React, and HoloViews.
• Proficient in JavaScript as well as Python.
• Proficiency using backend services such as REST with JSON payloads and use of CRUD.
• Self-starter who can teach themselves required tech stacks.
• Must be open to asking questions when clarification is needed.
• Ability to discuss the reasons why code looks like it does.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to write requirements, code, and documentation
• Collaborate with colleagues and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Participate in end-to-end development life cycle including requirements analysis and design through verification using automated tests.
• Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to promptly give and follow directions when working with others
• Demonstrate forward thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver quality products that enhance the company’s vision and drilling portfolio

GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS Objectives.
• Complete all required training in a timely manner
• Understand the process for reporting a Service Quality event at Stasis

• Able to successfully meet pre-employment testing requirements which may include, without limitation, pre-employment drug and alcohol test(s) and background checks as well as drug and/or alcohol testing periodically during employment (subject to state and federal laws)
• Perform manual testing to verify code correctness and reliability
• Address issues reported by users, providing timely fixes and support to ensure a positive user experience.
• Consider security aspects while designing and implementing software solutions, adhering to security standards, and implementing best practices to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Set up and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of software.

  • Code Complexity: Measures like cyclomatic complexity or maintainability index
  • Linting Errors: Number of linting errors detected in the codebase.

    • Feature Delivery Time: Time taken to develop and deploy new features

  • Communication Efficiency: Feedback from team members on collaboration and communication effectiveness

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• An undergraduate degree in a related field from an accredited institution or qualifying experiences and relevant certifications 
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on development and application design experience in delivering Front End products.
• Experience with React and JavaScript. 
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and working on multiple projects simultaneously to meet challenging deadlines
• Strong communication in English (Both Verbal and Written)
• Strong analytical skills.

PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrate clear communication skills including ability to read, write and speak English as well as understand and promptly follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to accurately recall information over short and long-term time periods
• Lift and carry 15 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces
• Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to safely navigate work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc. during various weather conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather)
