Duties and responsibilities of a Cutter

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cutter to join our team. As a Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting materials according to specifications for garment construction. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail and knowledge of sewing techniques and machinery.

Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and cut materials according to patterns and specifications
- Operate cutting machines and equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect materials for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with the sewing team to ensure proper alignment of fabric pieces
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Cutter or similar role in the garment industry
- Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, and sewing techniques
- Proficiency in using cutting machines, sewing machines, and other related tools
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Ability to read and interpret patterns and draft layouts accurately

Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good time management skills to meet production deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
