Full Job Description

Starlight Studios School of Performing Arts is looking for friendly, positive, and knowledgeable music teachers to join our staff. We are a small non-competitive dance, theater, and music studio that focuses on making sure our students, from young to old, are taught proper technique as they grow in their love with the arts. The majority of our music students are ages 6-18, with a few adults sprinkled in. We look forward to growing our programs and are looking for teachers to join us for the journey.

Current openings:

Music

  • We are looking for teachers that can teach the following instruments: Vocals, Piano, Guitar, Drums, Violin
  • Musical Theater experience a plus

Responsibilities include:

  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Maintain professionalism and positivity when talking with parents, as well as any time that you are representing the studio.
  • Develop 1:1 lesson plans based upon student skill set and age
  • Teaching weekly lessons while maintaining a safe classroom environment
  • Preparing students for recitals and performances, including collaborating with dance instructors to select music.
  • Working as a productive team member when it comes to stage performances, recitals, and community events, and all that goes along with those.
  • Background check / fingerprints will be required upon hiring.

COVID-19 Precautions:

  • Masks are optional
  • Upon entry, temperature checks and hands sanitized.
  • Studio areas sanitized between classes.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is preferred for all staff

Schedule:

We usually work Mon-Fri evenings, with an occasional weekend day for a community event/ performance.
