Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take patient vital signs, record medical history, and update patient information in electronic health records
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals to specialists
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant program preferred
- Certification as a medical assistant is a plus
- Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of anatomy and physiology
- Proficiency in using electronic health records systems and other medical software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced envioroment
