StarCare Specialty Health System (StarCare) seeks to hire an Intake, Outreach, and Enrollment Specialist to join the Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP) Team to support the Amarillo/Canyon Region.

Intake, Outreach, and Enrollment Specialist Responsibilities:

• Work is performed under the direct supervision of the HVRP supervisor with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
• Assists the HVRP supervisor to timely and accurately document program activities and maintain program documents such as case files and logs.
• Report program data and deliverables to the supervisor and assists in maintaining standards and protocols for data quality and delivery.
• Provides HVRP staff with high-level administrative support and service coordination, including arranging program events and participation in case conferencing.
• Acts as subject-matter expert on HVRP eligibility and actively participates in coordinated entry intakes and processes to expediently service veterans through peer to peer services.
• Works integrally with the HVRP supervisor to plan and execute outreach, training, and education to veterans and stakeholders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule: This is a full-time/non-exempt position scheduled Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with flexibility to meet the needs of the department.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major course work in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
• Some college and/or high school diploma and two (2) years’ experience in Human Services will be considered.
• Preference will be given to a Veteran or member of the U.S. Armed Forces (any branch), an experienced veteran caregiver, or someone with direct work experience with state or federal military and veteran programs.

Additional Requirements:

• Skill in operating standard office machines (telephone phone, fax, copier, calculator, etc.) and personal computer with intermediate or greater experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, email, etc.)
• Some regional travel is required (mileage reimbursed at the state approved rate).
• Selected candidate must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
• Selected candidate must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency insurance
• Selected candidate must reside in the Amarillo/Canyon region.
