SKILLS TRAINER I
Job Duties Summary:
Responsible for directly supervising and providing daily day habilitation, pre-vocational, vocational and/or work skills training for clients participating in adult day programs. Ensures safety and well-being of clients. Responsible for ensuring safety and efficient operation of equipment and supplies used in assigned areas. Responsible for effectively utilizing behavior management techniques to redirect and modify behavior of clients as indicated in individual client’s service plans and for immediately reporting any behavior incidents to the Adult Program Coordinator/QIDP. May be required to transport clients. May be required to work in any STARC facility. High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of prior work experience with individuals with intellectual, developmental and/or other disABILITIES preferred. Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
