Star Vision Center is Hiring a Front Desk Medical Receptionist Near Caro, MI

Busy optometric office looking for an energetic, detail oriented person to join our team as our front desk receptionist full time. Kindness, patience, positivity, a willingness to learn and being a team player are essential. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys organization, problem solving, and interacting with patients. Experience in an office setting required. Lots of opportunity to use customer service skills and help our great patients.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Provide and promote exceptional service for patients and their families
  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Medical and vision insurance verification
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Collect payments from patients
  • Reconcile office cash collections daily
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing
  • Accurately and efficiently enter medical data

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude - making sure our patients know we are happy to see them is essential.
  • High school degree; additional certification in Office Management or medical billing and coding is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
